Skanee Town Hall 1957, Arvon Township, Michigan
Arvon Township is a legal township of Baraga County in the state of Michigan. Located in the beautiful Upper Peninsula, it had a population of 482 in the 2000 census.
Arvon Township's name is derived from the district of Carnarvon in Wales, famous for its slate industry. Great deposits of slate in the area provided for a slate quarry operation.
Arvon Towhship has vast natural beauty on both land and water. This encompasses the slogan: Jewel of the U.P. Check out these photo galleries and see for youself.
